Built on a Mother's Legacy

Dr. Rafiqul Bhuyan

In Memory of Ayesha Begum

Mother of Dr. Rafiqul Bhuyan, Chairman

The Mother Ayesha Foundation is named in honour of Ayesha Begum — a woman who embodied quiet service, generosity, and care for those around her. Her son, Dr. Rafiqul Bhuyan, established this foundation as a lasting tribute to her spirit: structured, self-sustaining, and designed to help people long after any individual has passed.

Registered under The Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860), Mother Ayesha Foundation is an independent, non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental charitable organisation. Its operations span throughout Bangladesh, with the capacity to establish branch offices internationally as the work grows.

The foundation is headquartered at Madrashatul Ma'arif Dhaka in Gulshan — itself an institution of learning — reflecting the foundation's deep commitment to education as the foundation of all social progress.

Our Mission

To engage, promote, and advance charitable and social welfare activities among communities and peoples of Bangladesh — strictly on a non-profit basis. We work across education, healthcare, research, financial literacy, and humanitarian relief, guided by the principles of Islam and a commitment to human dignity.

Our Principles

  • Independent from political influence — we serve all regardless of affiliation.
  • No profit distribution — every taka received is deployed for charitable purposes.
  • Transparent governance — a Board of Trustees oversees all activities.
  • Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
  • Grounded in Islamic values: zakat, sadaqah, waqf, and community obligation.
